    Who we are ?

The D.S. Senanayake College Old Boys’ Association in the United Kingdom, commonly known as DSSC OBA UK, is a vibrant and active community of alumni living in the UK, dedicated to fostering fellowship and supporting the growth and development of D.S. Senanayake College.

DSSC OBA UK organizes various events and initiatives throughout the year to bring together the alumni, promote networking opportunities, and contribute to the betterment of D.S. Senanayake College and the Old Boys living in United Kingdom.

The UK Branch of D.S. Senanayake College OBA was formed in 1998. Since then, it has grown steadily and established itself as a prominent and influential association within the Old Boys of DSSC in the UK.

Through fundraising efforts and mentorship programs, DSSC OBA UK aims to provide financial assistance and guidance to current students, ensuring they have access to quality education and opportunities for their personal and professional growth. The association also collaborates with the parent school to organize career guidance workshops, sports tournaments, and cultural events that help foster a sense of pride and unity among the DSSC fraternity. Additionally, DSSC OBA UK actively engages in philanthropic activities, supporting charitable causes both in the UK and Sri Lanka, reflecting the values instilled by D.S. Senanayake College. The association is committed to preserving the legacy of D.S. Senanayake College and creating a strong bond among its members, as they work together to uphold the values and reputation of their alma mater.

The primary objectives of our association are:

    • Alumni Networking: OBAs provide a platform for former students to connect with each other. Networking events, reunions, and online platforms are often used to facilitate communication and networking among alumni.
    • Support for the School: Many OBAs actively contribute to the development and improvement of their alma mater. This support can come in the form of financial contributions, infrastructure development, and mentoring programs for current students.
    • Scholarships and Grants: OBAs may establish scholarship programs to support deserving students financially. These scholarships can be based on academic achievements, extracurricular activities, or financial need.
    • Events and Reunions: OBAs often organize events, reunions, and gatherings to bring together former students. These events serve as opportunities for alumni to reconnect, share experiences, and reminisce about their time at the school.
    • Career Guidance: OBAs may provide career guidance and support to current students by organizing workshops, seminars, and mentorship programs. This helps students make informed decisions about their future careers.
    • Preservation of Traditions and Heritage: OBAs play a role in preserving the traditions and heritage of the school. This includes maintaining archives, documenting the school’s history, and ensuring that important traditions are passed down to future generations.
